I have lived in Victoria since I was 7 years old so basically 57 years except for a few where I lived in Waconia. I have lived in the Chestnut Realty Condo's for 18 of those 57 years here in Victoria and love seeing the business coming downtown and had hoped it would grow even more with business. Our downtown isn't really that big for a whole lot of business but some others would be nice. However, I do not understand why in the world they would build a three story senior apartment complex instead of bringing in other business. We may need a building like that but I'm sure there were other places for it than right in the middle of town. It is going to stick out like a sore thumb compared to the other things around it. Just because the builder liked that spot doesn't mean it should be built there and it shouldn't have been his decision. I honestly did not know we had a say which probably wouldn't of made a difference anyways but really what was everyone thinking!!!!!! Now I get woke up at 3:00 am, 7:00 am or sooner, have to listed to constant banging, other noises, my whole building shaking and YES I mean shaking. Can't hear my TV because of the constant noise, can't hardly hear to talk on my phone or when someone does come visit. It is ridiculous and WHO EVER made this decision to build where they are should have come to all of us who live in Chestnut Reality Condo/Apt and got our opinion's but no one did and now we get to hear all this crap day after day until it's built. I know I'm just a nobody to the builder and many of you who made this decision to build here but I am a human being who can't get places like all of you or go some place so that I don't have to listen to this day after day. I don't have the luxuries many of you do and can't afford them and I didn't ask to have muscular dystrophy and be in a wheel chair and I certainly did not ask or get asked to listen to this construction for how many more months and have this EYE SORE behind where I live. Maybe this builder who is all about making money would like to build me a house away from here so I can enjoy my days without the noise, my building shaking, being woke up at all hours of the night, be able to hear my TV and not having and Eye Sore behind me.
